"The Bondesque tone really got me going. It made me imagine listening to and seeing this band live! The guitar, bass, drums and vocals were all brilliant. This is a great song and it definitely has the potential to be a huge hit."
- ReverbNation Review for "An Ode to Excess"
"The bass guitar was the standout of the track. I like the heavy guitars; they contrast well with the drums. The beat and tempo are on the up and up! The vocalist has a great voice. One of the better songs I’ve heard in a while."
- ReverbNation Review for "Deep Down I’m Shallow"
"The beginning of this song will pull you in. The vocalist has a smooth, hip delivery; its stylish and captivating. Instrumentals are great; lush and sweet sounding."

- ReverbNation Review for "Rainy Day Faire"
"I loved the sultry beat and tempo. The singer's style of elongating the words sent chills up my spine. This sounds like REM wrote a song for a David Lynch film. The harmonica is out of this world. This is a great song!"
- ReverbNation Review for "Last Night’s Fight"
"Very cool, strangely spooky opening. This was an odd experiment; edgy and original. What a creative band!"
- ReverbNation Review for "Monday Morning"
"Love the beginning. Love the drums. Love the guitar. Love the singer. This is the song of the night!"
- ReverbNation Review for "Haters, Liars and Hypocrites"
"I dig the fun, rockin' vibe of this punk song. It's reminiscent of the Sex Pistols. The vocals are dynamite and I fell in love with the energy and tenacity. Great vintage sound; solid mix."
- ReverbNation Review for "Your Society"

- ReverbNation Review for "Space Junk"
"This song is intensely catchy. Great guitar play and instrumentals, especially at the beginning. The vocals were really nice and sweet sounding. The lyrics were almost funny to me if it were not true. All elements of this song worked well together."

- ReverbNation Review for "What's it Gonna Take?"
"I really liked it! The singer has a very good (and younger sounding) voice, great lyrics, humor, good diction and a style that doesn't need to be put in a box. Alternative-popfolk? Oh and the little bark was cool."
- ReverbNation Review for "Pig Dog"
"When an artist can present their whole career in one song, that shows talent and that lands this song as one of my favorites. I give it a big ol' 10 for the amazing line up this song presented with vocals and instrumentals."
- ReverbNation Review for "Mid-Life Blues"
"Mixing the blues with a sultry rock sound this band has created a unique sound that is sure to captivate. The instrumentals are perfectly coordinated making the song both catchy and memorable and the singer's voice is melodic and raspy to create a nice contrasting feel. The dynamic nature of this song really drew me in."

RELEASED MAY 1, 2019!
"Third Time's the Charm?" is my third album. Its a punchy, grungy Alt Rock album covering a spectrum of topics from excess, lust, and relational strife, to politics, mass murder and even space junk. I wanted an album that presents the variety of a “London Calling” or “Odelay.” To that end, “Third Time's the Charm?” celebrates the many genres that I’ve come to love over the years; Alt Rock, Grunge, Rock & Roll, Pop Rock, Blues, Goth, Punk and even a weird 3/4 tune written for horns. This album was mixed and mastered for headphones....Play it LOUD!
Enjoy free full-length samples on the album pages with lyrics and more info. Always free streaming from Specialk.band!
