Go figure, but of all the topics discussed in this album, Chemtrails was the first song I wrote for it. This almost reminds me of an old Lovin' Spoonful tune or a happy stroll through a park while the planes fly overhead dumping chemical trails. It's a "Happy Together" kind of tune with some great harmonies and acoustic instruments.

Lyrics

Laying on the grass looking up at the sky
It’s a pretty clear day ‘cept for those planes flyin’ by,
They leave a web of chemicals in their wake
They won’t tell us what’s happnin’ for security’s sake

Chemtrails paint the sky
Don’t look up at those planes flyin’ by
Dumping toxic junk in our precious air
Just keep drinking that cool-aid like you just don’t care

Won’t tell us why, won’t even admit
All those webs in the sky we are soon to regret
Grossly misguided and deceptively false
With their claims and lies we’re effectively brainwashed

They give us cold cloudy days, no more fun in the sun
For the nation’s security in a classic end run
Checkerboards cross the sky to protect our airspace
But who protects our air for the whole human race?

A global whitewash, this nonsensical mess
They get young, single airmen who don’t ask and care less
Indigo Skyfold in the Blue Jay 1 way
“Manipulate this!” is all I have left to say

So follow my chemtrails across the sky
Don’t look up at my plane flyin’ by
Dumping toxic junk because I just don’t care
Just keep drinking that cool-aid but don’t breathe the air
