From the recording Third Time's the Charm?
This grungy tune is about one of those wicked, stupid relationship arguments that, at it's core, really don't matter. Written on a retreat, I'd had the music for some time. Unrelated to anything going on at the time, this one really wrote itself. "In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't mean anything."
ReverbNation Crowd Reviews: "This is a great song! I like the beat. I like the vocals. I like the emotion," "I loved the sultry beat and tempo. The singer's style of elongating the words sent chills up my spine. This sounds like REM wrote a song for a David Lynch film," "The harmonica is out of this world!"
Lyrics
Hey, It doesn't matter, It doesn't matter
I'm here to say, It doesn't matter, It doesn't matter
Doesn't mean anything!
Isn't worth anything!
Hey, well so it goes, so it goes
I came to say, It doesn't matter, It doesn't matter
What I said last night now...
Hey, It doesn't matter
Can't you see it my way? It doesn't matter, It doesn't matter
What I said last night now…
In the grand scheme of things
It doesn't mean anything
What I did last night now…
Are you angry with what I said?
Can't we just put this one to bed?
